Similar success at Phase II, February 1-15, 2012, will give the local teams a chance to compete in the JROTC Tri-Service Academic Bowl Championship to be held June 22-26, 2012 in Washington, DC. Heide Trask is no stranger to this competition having advanced to the Second Level each year throughout the five year history of this competition and having competed in the Finals at James Mason University near Washington, D.C., where they finished among the top ten teams nationally in 2007.

| HOMECOMING, 2011: With only one exception, Trask Homecoming was a major success this year. Parade entries included the Titan Marching Band and Color Guard; all King and Queen aspirants; a JROTC Honor Guard, marching unit and "Cage the Cats" float; and, a nice representation from the community--both area Volunteer Fire Departments, the local EMS and this year's Grand Marshals--representatives of the National Forestry Service (NFS). NOTE: The NPS used Trask HS as its Tactical Operations Center for a one to two month fire fighting effort in the Holy Ridge Wildlife Preserve. Festivities continued with the "Rally in the Alley" and concluded with a Titan victory over the Hobbton Wildcats that evening. The exception--the FAA's snapping the JROTC "Best in Parade" win streak. Overall, good job by all. |
