RIFLE TEAM TAKING SHAPE: Without a "certified" range facility, Trask rifle team imposed on our sister program at Pender High School for range time at their location. Team will have a second "practice" prior to entering into the East Duplin rifle competition on the 21st of this month. Results from this introductory try-out/practice were encouraging. Ryan Riggs, Devon Edwards and Rudy Orosco all "broke a hundred" for two targets. Additional and important lesson was not to let DeVon Pearman around a weapon (20 targets/zero points). Back to drill, Mr Pearman.

WELCOME TO THE BALL, CINDERELLA: A favorite among the numerous community support events performed each year by Battalion members is providing escorts for our adopted school's annual "Cinderella Ball." This year we must have had over 150 Cinderella princesses take the arms of Trask cadets as they were escorted into the Ball at Rocky Point Primary School, Rocky Point, NC.

...BUSY SPRING (2): Titan Raiders captured second place among the twenty-plus entries at North having taken second place in PT and third in the Forced March. Leading the Titans in PT was Pedro Lopez with a 267 of a possible 300 points. MAGNA VISTA (MV), a "Best of the Best"qualifier was the next weekend. No worse feeling than missing the cut off for Brigade qualification at fourth place. News followed the following Monday that two of the top three teams at MV had previously qualified and that, indeed, the Titans would be in the Best of the Best field for the second straight year. Tim Balogh led the Titans in PT at MV with a 255 score.
